Our 30-minute workshops allow children to explore, observe and investigate their world and the museum through song, dance and movement experiences. Workshops explore six key themes in early childhood development:
Workshop 1 - My 5 Senses (sensory)
Workshop 2 - Baby Says...(language)
Workshop 3 - My Body (learning body parts)
Workshop 4 - Let's Move! (movement)
Workshop 5 - Up, Down & and All Around (spatial awareness)
Workshop 6 - Get Your Motor Running (motor skills)
Workshops are conducted by a diverse group of certified Louisiana Wolf Trap Artists, who have expertly crafted multi-sensory experience that foster children’s natural curiosity for learning. Children and their caregivers will leave each session with a Connections Card exploring how workshop activities can be continued at home. Caregivers are encouraged to attend each of six workshops in a series.
