My City, My Home
The Preservation Resource Center's flagship program, My City, My Home offers a comprehensive, inter-disciplinary set of lessons designed to give the students the tools that will enable them to become active participants in neighborhood planning, community development, and our city’s broader civic life.
These lessons, presented in partnership with the Louisiana Children’s Museum, are aligned to Louisiana’s 4th and 8th Grade ELA, Math, and Social Studies GLEs. This program may include a performance by jazz quartet, a field trip to the french quarter, an architectural walking tour and a culminating visual arts project.
Pricing: $170 reflects one lesson with one class. Three-lesson and seven-lesson residency packages are availble. For more information, call Jenny James at (504) 523-3525.

About Preservation Resource Center
Located in the historic Warehouse District of New Orleans, the Preservation Resource Center (PRC) has been preserving, restoring, and revitalizing New Orleans’ historic architecture and neighborhoods since 1974. Since our founding, the PRC has grown into the leading voice protecting our city’s rich heritage.
Heritage Education programs began at the PRC in 2002 and has since given thousands of local students a greater appreciation of their city, neighborhoods, and houses. Drawing upon a wide range of resources, we now offer a diverse range of programming and field trips for grades K-12 that can accommodate the needs of any school or teacher.
The Heritage Education program is an initiative of the Preservation Resource Center’s Education & Outreach Department.
