Young Audiences' innovative and engaging programming can be customized to meet your schools individual needs. Below you will find a selection of programs offered by Young Audiences' trained teaching artists. Please contact us for more information.

 

Ms. Joseph takes a fresh look at music from a neurological, physiological,mathematical and cellular perspective. This workshop is helpful to any teacher who wants to integrate music into the classroom curriculum.
 

Students will join the artists in creating musical phrases with their hands and feet, as they learn how to improvise through "body percussion" and sing along with some of the popular songs that inspired dancers of the past.
 

Designed to spark readiness through stories, song and rhymes, this program is sure to excite emerging readers!
 

Internationally renowned singer Topsy Chapman brings her enchanting voice to students in her native Louisiana performing traditional and modern jazz, and African American and traditional gospel.
 

Due to the recent increased arts requirement for kindergarten through eighth grade Louisiana public school students, the Department of Education released a series of model arts lessons in all of the core disciplines to aid teachers in developing quality lessons. Join Roscoe Reddix, Jr, as he illuminates the core arts techniques used in these lessons and guides teachers in taking the next step.
 

A thrilling, percussive dance performance celebrating the traditions of the gaucho or Argentine Cowboy. This performance engages the audience and also encourages participation.
 

Voices of the Big Easy encompass much of the finest that New Orleans has to offer. This fusion group combines the vivid insightful poetry of Chuck Perkins with rhythms and sounds that have been part of New Orleans for generations.
 

Students will learn about the Saints, Saints history, unique local terms and phrases, as well as how McConduit became an author all while he shares the importance of ideas, reading, and writing in everyday life.

This unique musical program offers the drama and splendor of revered ancient culture as it traces the origin of African Drumming.
