Professional Development

Professional development workshops for teachers conducted by our program staff and teaching artists may be tailored to meet the particular needs of an individual school or an entire school district. By participating in these professional development workshops, teachers gain new assessment tools and explore innovative methods of reaching students. Together, teachers and artists develop new teaching skills, learn new ways to apply the arts to classroom lessons and explore new approaches to effectively engaging students

The arts can help us to access pieces of ourselves and help us to understand the world better. They help us to adapt better, to look at things through many perspectives."

- Roscoe Roeddix
Director of Arts Integration, Young Audiences of Louisiana
