“Audubon Zoo” - Imaginative Play Imaginative play helps your child to process the world around them. Explore this week during our YALA Artsplay!™ as we use drama and play to create zoo animals from the Audubon zoo with our bodies. Learn how to engage your child’s creative side through imaginary play.
Join us on Wednesday, November 11 at 10:30 AM at the Community Book Center on Bayou Road for this fifth in the pop up series, “Take Me Down to the Second Line”.
“Take Me Down to the Second Line” is designed for ages three to four years old, though younger and older children will also enjoy the workshop.
This series was developed by Young Audiences of Louisiana / Louisiana Wolf Trap Teaching Artist Ja’nese Brooks-Galathe in partnership with the New Orleans African American Museum. It is based on the traditional indigenous culture of New Orleans Second Line and Black Masking Indians.
The workshops are FREE and presented by The Helis Foundation, and you must register for each workshop to participate.
