Dive into Literacy with Young Audiences of Louisiana at New Orleans Public Libraries
Young Audiences of Louisiana’s Community Arts and Literacy workshops return to New Orleans Public Libraries this summer. YALA’s arts-integrated Community Arts and Literacy workshops take storytime to the next level by assisting caregivers with early literacy strategies they can implement at home. The “Dive Into Literacy” Series revolves around an ocean theme and will run from June 14 - July 26 across the Greater New Orleans Area. Professional artists will lead families through a children’s story using the Wolf Trap approach, a research-based method designed to promote active learning. Attend for interactive arts education workshops, using the performing arts to explore the deep sea. While all children are welcome, this workshop is ideal for children infant to six years old. Attend one or all of the events below! Visit our event page for details.
