Young Audiences of Louisiana’s FREE online workshops continue at NOMA with “Tiny Explorers” on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m., from July 10 - August 14.

Young Audiences of Louisiana (YALA) knows how you can engage your preschooler in arts appreciation while encouraging their cognitive and emotional development. YALA will continue to provide live arts education workshops to families via Zoom. YALA’s latest Artsplay! at Home series, “Tiny Explorers”, is on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. from July 10 - August 14, 2021. This workshop is a great fit for families with children ages three and four, but younger children will also enjoy it.

Each workshop experience will be led by Young Audiences of Louisiana and Louisiana Wolf Trap Teaching Artists. "Tiny Explorers" allows for a playful introduction to key areas of childhood development, including imaginative play, motor skills, math foundations and social-emotional skills. While workshops are designed to promote childhood development and expand caregiver knowledge through the use of the performing arts, YALA’s Artsplay! workshop will also give families the opportunity to explore visual art with their children.

In this series, YALA has partnered with New Orleans Museum of Art.  NOMA is committed to preserving, presenting, and enriching its collections and renowned sculpture garden; offering innovative experiences for learning and interpretation; and uniting, inspiring, and engaging diverse communities and cultures. NOMA has contributed one piece of artwork to share with each lesson. Thanks to the generous contribution of The Helis Foundation, workshops are free to the public.

All sessions will take place virtually via Zoom. Participate from any location, whether on a laptop, tablet or a cell phone. Register today to receive a workshop link for all six workshops: http://www.ya4la.org/events.
